During an initial acupuncture assessment, the practitioner will collect a detailed health history, inquiring about your medical background, current symptoms, lifestyle habits, and main concerns. If necessary, orthopedic testing or a brief physical exam may be conducted to evaluate areas of discomfort. Based on these insights, the practitioner will recommend a personalized treatment plan for you. This initial visit usually lasts 90 minutes and includes your first acupuncture session.

Following your initial visit, you’ll be considered an established patient, and return visits will begin with a brief check-in to assess any changes or improvements. The acupuncturist will review your current symptoms, response to the previous treatment, and any new concerns, adjusting the plan as needed. The session will then proceed with acupuncture, targeting specific points to support your ongoing health goals. These visits typically last 45 minutes to an hour.

During a home visit, your acupuncturist will bring all the necessary equipment to your home and set up a comfortable treatment area that suits your needs. The session will start with a brief discussion to assess your current condition and any specific concerns you may have. The acupuncturist will then administer acupuncture in a way that accommodates your mobility or positioning needs, focusing on points that address pain, comfort, and overall well-being. The visit will be conducted with sensitivity and respect, prioritizing your comfort throughout the treatment. This service is particularly helpful for those with significant mobility challenges or patients receiving Hospice or Palliative Care.

In this treatment, you will lie comfortably on a PEMF mat for 30 minutes. This stand-alone therapy aims to reduce inflammation, alleviate pain, and provide a deep sense of relaxation. Acupuncture not included.
